Rose Cashman-Pugsley, Membership Manager
The Eden Project
Rose has worked in fundraising and membership for over a decade since graduating from the University of Bristol, working as a Campaign Manager for a fundraising consultancy with a focus on regular giving for educational charities. She then joined the RNIB’s busy fundraising and membership departments shortly after they merged with Action for Blind People, before moving to a new role at the Kew Foundation where she was instrumental in the successful implementation of a significant organisational restructure and the introduction of a new membership offer at Wakehurst Place in Sussex.
As Membership Manager at the Eden Project in Cornwall, one of the UK’s leading visitor attractions and a global garden and educational charity, Rose has been leading on a complete re-launch and revitalisation of Membership and Individual Giving fundraising since 2014. Rose’s key role is to raise unrestricted income by developing and delivering a strategy to engage and inspire Eden’s audiences to become Supporters, Members and Patrons, contributing over £0.5m annually for the Eden Trust’s charitable activities. Since joining Eden, Membership numbers have grown by 260%, Membership and Individual Giving enjoy greater prominence and integration across the organisation, and ways of working have been dramatically improved to create a joined-up approach to supporter and audience development, which lives and breathe Eden’s charitable mission.
