Maxine McKenzie, Exec Director Marketing & Membership Development

Maxine McKenzie is Executive Director of Marketing and Membership Development at RIBA. She is responsible for member recruitment, and for ensuring that membership of RIBA is valued and that membership numbers and subscription income increases. She is also responsible for strategic and operational leadership of brand and marketing activity and the RIBA Awards Programme which culminates in the Stirling Prize, the International Prize and the Royal Gold Medal.
Max has more than 25 years of experience in delivering award-winning marketing campaigns across a range of industries and audiences, working for brands as diverse as KPMG, Cabinet Office, Cadbury and, for the last seven years, RIBA.
She is particularly interested in heritage British brands that need to transform to be inclusive, relevant and compelling in the 21st century. She is passionate about great design, creative excellence, customer experience, and the ways in which digital technology and data are transforming marketing communications.
