British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC)
Lesley Blair joined the BABTAC & CIBTAC Council in 2012, before becoming Vice Chair in 2015, having previously been a CIBTAC International Training Examiner for 17 years.
Lesley is qualified in all aspects of beauty therapy, holding treatment qualifications as well as teaching and assessor qualifications. She is passionate about high standards in the industry, and continues to spend time as a CIBTAC Examiner. In 2005, Lesley achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Finance, Investment & Risk, which has not only helped her develop and grow her own business, but makes her a great resource for BABTAC & CIBTAC Schools and Centres.
Lesley’s priorities for her term on Council are to help students recognise the importance of world-class qualifications, and for the organisations to drive for industry self-regulation. Lesley also sits on the Cosmetics Informed and Empowered Public Sub-Group, part of the Scottish Government’s Interventions Expert Group, which was set up following the Keogh Review, and mirrors the work being carried out by Health Education England.
BABTAC stands for the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology, and sister company CIBTAC is the Confederation of International Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology.
